The ground on which the pool rests must be firm, stable, flat, smooth and horizontal.

A level ground is essential (no holes or bumps), otherwise there will appear constraints that could damage your pool. What is also important is this: pay attention to water infiltration and to the water table.

A Zodiac Original pool must never be placed directly on the ground. The ground must be covered with a layer of sifted sand on which you place an underlay (groundsheet).

The choice of location on your property is crucial to the enjoyment of your new pool. There must be enough room to allow for circulation around the pool.

Choose an open space, without trees (to avoid dead leaves and other inconveniences), far from any underground connections (water, gas, electricity).

Finally, don't forget that there will be a possibility of draining your pool for a short term maintenance.

The pool should not be placed directly under overhead power lines as a precautionary measure.

We recommend that you install your pool in a place that is well exposed to sunshine and that benefits from the morning sun if possible, which is more effective than the evening sun.

Thanks to the solar radiation and the special technique of water circulation in the WINKY and OVLINE models, the water in the pool is naturally heated more efficiently.

Install the pool away from prevailing winds. A pool exposed to the wind loses a lot of heat through evaporation.

Covers (isothermal or winter) exposed to excessive wind loads can deteriorate prematurely.

Trees are not always an inconvenience. However, pay attention to their shadows and anticipate any disturbances.

For example, the presence of a lime tree or a birch is forbidden. Indeed, in all seasons these trees will spread pollen, flowers or leaves on your pool.

However, trees can be a good neighbour, as long as they have a screen function and are of the evergreen family.

For optimal safety in your electrical installation, make sure that the electrical outlet is grounded and that the electrical installation is protected by a 30 mA differential circuit breaker.

However, check with a specialist for the current standardisation.

Nota bene : to comply with the norms, it is important to respect a minimum distance between the pool and the filtration, according to the NF C 15-100 standard, according to the CENELEC HD 384 harmonization documents.

As your pool is an additional room in your house, it must integrate all its advantages. Thus, a good installation implies that the pool is located near the house and in a sufficiently intimate place of the garden, sheltered from indiscreet looks. 

Make sure that no underground connections (water, gas, electricity, telephone, cables ...) pass through the place where you want to implant and install your pool.
